Nexx Garage - NXG-200, NXG-100 - How to resolve incorrect door status sensor issues

For Nexx Garage NXG-100

1. Make sure that your sensors are installed using the recommended setup. Please check the picture below for reference:

2. If the sensor is installed like in the picture above, then open your Nexx Home app, tap on Settings, then tap on Device Info. Check the firmware version, and it should be 3.3.19.  If you are seeing firmware lower than this, then stop here, and email us (support@getnexx.com) for help with updating your firmware version.

3. If the firmware is already showing 3.3.19, then you are on the latest version. Please follow the steps below to do a sensor test:
3.1. Check the "plastic red connector" where your wired sensor is connected to. Disconnect the wired sensor from the plastic red connector, then plug it back in.
3.2. Using your wall button or your remote control, open/close the door and check if the LED light on the device changes color or blinks.
3.3. If the step above does not show changes to the LED light, try tapping the sensors together. You should see the LED light on the device blink or change. When you move them apart, it should also show the LED light blink or change.
3.4. If the step above does not show any changes to the LED light, then disconnect the wired sensor again from the plastic red connector, and inside it, you will see two terminals. Using a small piece of wire or flathead screwdriver, please "short" the two terminals and check if the LED light changes/blinks.
3.5. If your door status is still not showing correctly, please email us (support@getnexx.com) and let us know the results of your test for further assistance.

For the NXG-200:

1. Make sure that the wireless sensor is connected and is not low on battery power. You can check the battery level via the Nexx Home app by tapping on your garage name, and it should give you the battery level.
2. If it is connected and has enough battery level, then bring it near the NXG-200 base unit. Perform a test by holding it vertically and then check the Nexx Home app, and it should reflect closed status. Then move and hold it horizontally, wait at least 10 -15 seconds, and check the status on the app. This should change to open.
3. If the test is not successful, then it means the sensor has lost its connectivity. Please pair it again to the NXG-200 base unit by pressing and holding the pairing button near the antenna.
4. If the sensor is connected or successfully paired but your door status is still not showing correctly, please email us (support@getnexx.com) and let us know the results of your test for further assistance.
