How to Activate a Keypad Address for Honeywell Vista Panels (10p, 15p, 20p, & 21p)
These panels have keypad addresses from 16 – 23
Keypad address 16 is factory enabled and cannot be disabled. Reserve this address for physical keypads.
Keypad Entry Fields:
*190 – Address 17
*191 – Address 18
*192 – Address 19
*193 – Address 20
*194 – Address 21
*195 – Address 22
*196 – Address 23
To Enter Programming mode (4Digit Installer Code + 800) ex. (1234 + 800)
To Exit Programming mode (* + 99)
If you want to enable address 18, enter programming mode then enter (*190+1+0). You will hear a beep to confirm.
Here is the entire line of code (1234 + 800, *190 + 1 + 0). Beep to confirm. (1234 will be replaced with your installer code) The*190 is associated with keypad address 17 from the above list.
If you are not sure if a keypad is already programmed, this is how you check. After entering programming mode press #190 or whatever address you want to check. (For reference * is used to program # is used to read the program.)
If it’s (01 then 00), the keypad address 17 is enabled.
If it’s (00, then 00) the keypad address 17 is disabled.
Here is what those numbers mean – the first number is the partition the keypad is assigned to, 00 being disabled and not used. The second set of numbers is for sound suppression. This is usually 00 but doesn’t matter what it is set to.
