How do I know if my garage door opener is compatible with Nexx Garage?

You can view a list of devices that we know are compatible on our Compatible Garage Door Openers page. We are constantly adding to the list of compatible devices, so even if your opener is not listed yet, there’s an excellent chance that it will still work with Nexx Garage. Another way is to do the compatibility test. Basically, you need to have a short piece of wire or a paper clip and you will need to insert the wire into the terminal where your wall control or wall button is connected to. If it opens/closes the door, then you garage door opener is compatible with the Nexx Garage.

How many doors does Nexx Garage control?

You can control one garage door for every Nexx Garage device.  If you have three garage door openers, you will need three Nexx Garage devices. However, the door openers can be different models or even from different manufacturers as long as it passes the compatibility test. If not, then we can provide an adapter to make it work with your garage door opener.

How can I share my access with someone else?

You just need to have the other user download the Nexx Home app and create a Nexx Home account. Once the account is created, you will need to go to your Nexx Home app, go to device settings, then tap on Just Share and tap on add a new user and fill up the fields. The user will then receive a confirmation email and once they open the app, they will see the garage door that you shared with them.

Does Nexx Garage require power?

Yes.  Nexx Garage requires 120v electrical outlet.  This outlet is typically near the garage door opener(GDO).

Can I view door activities?

Yes. Nexx Garage keeps a history of door activities so that you can monitor the traffic in your garage area in real time or in the past.

Can I control Nexx Garage with my voice?

Yes. You can use Amazon Echo and any Alexa enabled device, like CoWatch, to Open, Close, or Monitor your garage door using just your voice.

Does Nexx Garage come with or have a camera?

No.  Nexx Garage does not come with or have a camera.

Is Nexx Garage secure?

Yes. We take security very seriously.  With industry standard encryption technology, your data and access to your garage are kept safe and secure.

Does Nexx Garage come with a warranty?

Yes.  Nexx Garage comes with a 1-year full replacement warranty for defective parts.
